Born in Hong Kong and raised in Chappaqua, New York, Phyllis moved to Orlando, Florida, at 18—a transition that would lay the groundwork for her perseverance and adaptability. Growing up, she was inspired by her parents’ sacrifices: both had successful careers in Hong Kong but chose to move the family to America for a better future. Their resilience and work ethic became the blueprint for her own approach to life and career.

Her early professional life began in the hospitality industry, where she spent over five years learning the art of problem-solving and client communication. “Every day is different in the hospitality business as well as sales, so learning to think on your feet and pivot with situations is extremely important,” she reflects.
