When Alysa Lloyd was four years old, she already knew what she wanted to do.
She dreamed of helping animals, and she spent nearly a decade making that dream a reality as a surgical and ICU veterinary nurse. The work was demanding—life-saving procedures, high-pressure decisions, long hours—but Alysa was no stranger to pushing through hard things. Her parents raised her to earn what she wanted, and she landed her first job at 15. That combination of grit and genuine care for others became the throughline of everything she’s done since. Even now, that passion for animals hasn’t gone anywhere. She still follows veterinary research in her spare time and stays surrounded by creatures of all kinds in her personal life.
She spent the next ten years in Nevada building her career, but when she made the move to Florida earlier this year, she saw it as more than a fresh start. She was ready for a new kind of challenge entirely. Stepping away from veterinary medicine wasn’t an easy call, but she was looking for a career with unlimited growth and the chance to build something of her own. Outside of work, Alysa is someone who moves toward experience. She loves live music, chasing new artists, and the spontaneous connections that come with it. She grew up hiking and spending long days outdoors in Nevada, and while Florida’s version looks a little different, she’s taken to the beaches and greenery just the same.
Her short-term goal is simple: keep contributing to Semper Consulting’s culture while learning something new every day. Long-term, she’s working toward owning a business and building the kind of financial freedom she’s been laying the groundwork for since day one.
Her advice to anyone facing difficult circumstances is something she clearly lives by:
