Tyler Lozier: A Story Built on Discipline, Development, and Purpose

Before entrepreneurship entered the picture, Tyler Lozier’s world revolved around competition and discipline. Born in West Texas and raised in Central Maryland, his childhood dream was far from business ownership. He wanted to play shortstop for the New York Yankees! While that goal eventually changed, the mindset behind it never did. The pursuit of excellence, commitment to preparation, and respect for teamwork became themes that would shape every chapter of his life.

Those values were reinforced after high school, when Tyler decided to join the United States Marine Corps. Serving for four years as an Amphibious Assault Crewman, he deployed in 2016 and traveled to ten different countries. The experience demanded mental toughness, accountability, and the ability to perform under pressure. Time away from family, limited communication, and exposure to challenging situations forced him to mature quickly and rely on the people beside him.

One lesson from his service continues to guide him today and would later become central to how he leads in business.

“Active duty [taught me] how to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. It taught me that its not about the one man but the team and to take care of each other.”

From Service to Entrepreneurship

After leaving the Marines, Tyler entered the workforce with a strong work ethic and a clear understanding of structure and leadership. What drew him to sales was simple. It was merit-based, uncapped, and rewarded effort. He saw an opportunity to build a career where results mattered more than credentials and where growth was earned, not given.

That belief eventually led him to start Semper Consulting on April 1, 2024. Just twenty days later, his life changed again with the birth of his son. The timing reinforced his motivation and sense of responsibility. Building a successful business was no longer just about personal achievement. It was about providing for his family and setting an example.

In its first year, Semper Consulting operated a multimillion-dollar business, earned Tyler recognition as Rookie Owner of the Year, and promoted an individual from within to run their own operation. Each milestone reinforced his belief in development and opportunity-driven leadership.

Leadership Through Development and Accountability

At the core of Tyler’s leadership philosophy is a deep belief in people. He considers his greatest strength the ability to train and develop others, confident that success is teachable when paired with accountability and effort.

In the long term, he envisions consulting for a large-scale organization while continuing to provide meaningful opportunities for others.
