Forming Confidence and Leadership from the Start
Born and raised in Apopka, Florida, Mackenzie’s journey has never followed a straight line, and that’s precisely what makes her impact so powerful. After high school, she attended cosmetology school, an experience that helped her build confidence, sharpen her communication skills, and recognize how well she thrives in people-focused environments. From there, she transitioned into hospitality, working her way from hostess to server, bartender, and, eventually, store and bar manager at a local establishment in DeLand, FL. Each role strengthened her leadership abilities, emotional intelligence, and understanding of how strong teams operate.
Finding Opportunity With Semper Consulting
Mackenzie joined Semper Consulting in August 2024 as an Entry-Level Sales Representative. It quickly became clear that while sales wasn’t the right long-term fit, her potential was undeniable. Rather than letting that talent walk away, our CEO, Tyler Lozier, offered Mackenzie the opportunity to step into recruiting, an offer that would change the trajectory of her career. That moment of trust and belief ignited a passion that Mackenzie says “clicked in a way no other role ever had.”

Now, as Semper Consulting’s In-House Recruiter, Mackenzie is instrumental in building teams that align with the company’s values, goals, and culture. Her ability to read the room, listen deeply, and connect authentically helps us attract talent that not only performs, but also stays and grows.

Outside of work, Mackenzie’s most significant source of pride and motivation is her son, whom she proudly calls her greatest accomplishment. Being a parent has deepened her patience, perspective, and purpose; qualities she carries into her leadership style every day. As a planner by nature, she aims to achieve financial freedom, buy a home, and create meaningful experiences for her family, while continuing to grow in HR and talent acquisition over the long term.
